IDJ Ear Trainer

Hands-free interval training. Walking the dog, waiting on the next ride — your ears are free even when your hands aren’t.

How it works

  1. The app plays an interval.
  2. You say its name out loud — “minor sixth.”
  3. Instant chime or buzz. Next one’s already coming.

No tapping, no looking at a screen. Ascending, descending, harmonic — any mix — out to the octave or the thirteenth.

Nothing leaves your phone

Recognition is a tiny keyword-spotting neural net that runs entirely on-device and knows only the twenty interval names. There’s no speech-to-text service, no account, no analytics, no network calls. Your microphone audio is processed in memory and thrown away. That’s the whole story — details in the privacy policy.
