Privacy Policy
IDJ Ear Trainer · Effective August 14, 2026
The short version: IDJ Ear Trainer collects nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no third-party SDKs, no network requests.
Microphone
The app asks for microphone access so it can hear you say interval names (“minor sixth”). Your audio is analyzed on your device, in memory, by a small neural network that can only recognize interval names. Audio is never recorded to disk, never transmitted anywhere, and is discarded immediately after each moment of analysis. Declining microphone access disables voice answers but nothing is collected either way.
Data we collect
None. The app makes no network connections. Your scores and settings live only on your device and are deleted when you delete the app.
TestFlight
If you use the app through Apple’s TestFlight beta program, Apple may share crash logs and basic usage statistics with us as described in Apple’s privacy policy and the TestFlight terms. That data comes from Apple’s systems, not from anything the app itself sends.
Children
The app is safe for all ages; since it collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.
Changes
If the app ever starts collecting anything (for example, opt-in cloud sync), this policy will be updated first and the change will be called out in the app’s release notes.
